Faculty Bio

An academic and a consultant in the field of Foresight and Future Studies, teaches Operations Management and on the Strategic Management for Sustainable Success module of the Strathclyde MBA (Exploring the International Business Environment, and Strategic Consulting in Practice). In my work, I use futures, foresight, and scenario planning tin supporting organisational strategy development. I conduct the 2-Day Workshop on Foresight for Strategy Development, an Executive Development programme. My portfolio of strategy development workshops includes UNDP Georgia and Innovative Service Lab Georgia, Employee Provident Fund Malaysia, Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, National Higher Education Research Institute Malaysia and International Islamic University Malaysia. My teaching and research work now extends to Foresight and higher education. I have conducted futures literacy workshops with high school and university students and teachers in Dubai, New York, Taipei, Chiayi (Taiwan) and Sierra Leone. In an effort to advance futures literacy, I have created @Futures_Sandbox, an initiative for transformative action learning and youth development. The Sandbox aims to develop critical and reflective modes of awareness and inquiry. The Futures Sandbox is an independent, collaborative and open platform for workshops, seminars, and hands-on projects to educate and inspire youth toward imagining and creating preferred futures. I conduct workshops using games and exercises that take participants into a future mental space.
