We work closely with industry in our Technology & Innovation centre. We are a key partner in the International Max Planck Partnership in Measurement and Observation with eight Max Planck Institutes in Germany. This enhances research in both quantum optics and gravitational wave detection. We are the site of the first Fraunhofer Centre in the UK – the Centre for Applied Photonics (CAP) set up in 2012 by the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft (Germany).
