Faculty Bio

I joined the University of Strathclyde in 2013. I have been a Visiting Lecturer at Cass Business School, ESCP Europe, and SKEMA Business School. My research interests are corporate finance, corporate governance, investments, mergers and acquisitions, economic impact of infrastructure investment, and banking. My research is published in peer reviewed journals such as the Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Empirical Finance, and the European Journal of Finance among others. Since 2012 my research has attracted approximately £190,000 of funding. Also, I am a member of the Research Commitee of the Insititute of Chratered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS). I have acted as Guest Editor for the International Review of Financial Analysis and I have been invited to act as a Scientific Committee member for several Conferences. Also, I serve as research assessor for Carnegie Trust and as an ad-hoc reviewer for a number of scientific journals such as the Journal of Banking & Finance, International Review of Financial Analysis, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, and the Review of Behavioral Finance. Moreover, I am actively engaginging with the industry and I am the Knowledge Base Supervisor for a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) research project funded by Innovate UK and BiP Solutions and have received funding from the French Chamber of Commerce. Finally, I am the convener for the Research Seminar Series in the department of Accounting and Finance of Strathclyde Business School and I am a senior partner at Symmetria Ltd. with the role of financial consultant/broker in the commodities and food industries. To date I have taught a wide spectrum of modules Accounting and Finance modules, at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, such as Corporate Finance, Financial Analysis, International Finance, Derivatives, and Risk Management in Banking.
