This internationally recognised programme is aimed at young, ambitious graduates who wish to pursue a career in finance and who would like to become finance specialists able to respond to the challenges and complexities of rapidly changing financial markets.
Successful masters students will be prepared for a career in such areas as corporate finance, treasury management, banking, investment analysis, investment management, investment banking, security analysis, derivatives, portfolio management, consultancy, public sector finance etc.
The programme involves studying 9 foundation/core classes and four optional subjects. Students then complete a dissertation or three research projects under supervision from University staff.
Students are supplied with all books and materials necessary to complete the course and all seminars are held in Athens. There is no need to visit the UK although those completing the course are invited to the Graduation Ceremony.
The course offered in Athens is identical to that offered in the UK and in other overseas centres. The same high standards apply throughout and exactly the same degree and certificate is awarded as to those following the programme in the UK.
All applications or enquiries are handled by International Management Studies whose role is to provide local administrative support for the programme. International Management Studies will forward the application to Strathclyde University which is responsible for all academic decisions including approval of applications.
COURSE STRUCTURE
Each subject area has supporting tutorials one evening per week over a ten week period in each 6-monthly semester.
University staff visit for two-day intensive seminars covering each subject studied during that semester. Exams take place in Athens at the end of each semester and are sent to Strathclyde for marking.
The MSc Finance degree is specially designed for those who are working and would like to obtain a first class Masters without interrupting their career.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The minimum entry requirement is a good first degree, which has quantitative elements, as well as a proficient standard of English.
Potential participants need to arrange an interview before an application for and the accompanying documents are submitted to the University.Intakes commence October and April, however applications are being processed continuously.
