The origins of International Management Studies go back to the mid 1990s. The founder, Nigel Copage had been director of the British Council Teaching Institute in Athens from 1990 to 1995 and during this time had introduced a number of part-time postgraduate degrees at the Council. Realizing there was a demand for this supported part-time masters in Greece, he left the British Council in the summer of 1995 and set up Access International which was based at 65 Vassilisis Sofias avenue, opposite the Hilton Hotel.
