With enormous Success and compassion it was performed the award ceremony"Successful Life Course, organised by the Hellenic Alumni Association of University of Strathclyde in Greece, an award that reveals some bright examples of people and gives direction against the current institutional crisis of concepts and values. In a period characterised by the nihilism of values, the University of Strathclyde,

stood up and distinguished itself, for its institutionalisation of "Successful Life Course - Lifetime Achievements Awards». In this event, distinguished personalities of the academic and business communities as well as graduates of the University of STRATHCLYDE of Great Britain, received the award Successful Life Course - SUHAB / LAA (Strathclyde University Hellenic Alumni Branch - LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS) at a ceremony held on Friday, June 11, 2010 in an open reception place named KTIMA Filira. During the award ceremony, the keynote speaker, Dr. John Kalogerakis, Secretary of the Alumni Association and CEO of JMK Ltd, highlighted the importance of this award as a very well timed initiative in the current environment where nihilism, stagnation and decline dominate. This initiative from the Universitys Hellenic Alumni Association, declares in the most emphatic manner that not everything is black in Greece and that there are bright examples of people based on old fashioned virtues like hard work and ethos, which, supported by the solid foundation provided by the studies, show the way out of the current crisis. He also accomplished something unique: Within a few minutes and during the presentation of the biographies of each of the VIPs the atmosphere got vibrant with emotion, laughter, sweet nostalgia, including a total acceptance that those moments in the property Filira were unique: Capable people were honouring Great people.During the ceremony 6 VIPs were chosen, 3 from the Academia and 3 from the Corporate World. More specifically, from the academic community, Dr. George Avlonitis, Professor of Marketing at the Athens University of Economics (SLC) and President of the European Marketing Academy (EMAC), Dr. Athanasios Kouremenos, Professor of Marketing at the University of Piraeus, Athens University of Economics, University of the Aegean, and the Technical University of Athens and Dr. John Kontos, Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the Department MITHE University of Athens. From the business community, Dr. Andrew Spyrou, former Technical Director of the Onassis Group companies in Europe and the USA, Christos Papapolyzos, President of DDB South Eastern Europe and Vice President of DDB Worldwide Europe,and Mr. George Linardatos, Managing Director of Schools, S. Avgoulea Linardatos SA the biggest private school in Greece.
